One node now holds 18,000 concurrent WebRTC viewers instead of 200–300, and delivers more than 100 Gbit/s of HLS. Catena gained DRM, a viewer storefront with a real programme guide, timeshift channels, VOD transcoding and fMP4 capture over HLS and DASH — the last pieces that kept operators on Flussonic Media Server. Mcaster became a headend you can put in a broadcast chain: SDI from DekTec cards, SMPTE ST 2110, MXL, RIST, full control over the outgoing MPEG-TS, conditional access, and a register of customers and what each of them bought. Watcher's NVR replaces its media server with the new core by the ordinary update button.
